City Accommodations
2017
In this Work I use a wooden box as a metaphor to address the issue of living spaces in New York. For that I constructed a box at the smallest size that my body could possibly fit in. I carried the 27’’ x 27’’ box around New York City, and executed daily private actions inside of it. The box functions as a metaphor of the experience that most people have when choosing to live in New York City. In the pandemic this work became even more relevant, in the face of having to remain on your space for long periods of time.
